Because we will never get enough photos of Kate Middleton in brightly colored dresses, and because it's Valentine's Day, we bring you the latest royal romance update.

Here's what the duchess did on Friday: As part of her duties as the patron of the organization the Art Room, she officially opened an art therapy center at a school outside of London. Greeted at Northolt High School in Ealing to screams and cheers from excited schoolchildren (could you ask for a better Valentine?), she also participated in an art therapy session at the newly opened ICAP Art Room at the school.

With no trace of traditional Feb. 14 red and pink, Middleton wore a blue dress from LK Bennett — the Detroit Fitted Dress is cut in a conservative length with the hemline hitting just above the knee (would the queen approve?) — with Kiki McDonough green amethyst and diamond cushion drop earrings, a Cartier Ballon Bleu watch, black heels and simple black clutch. Not exactly typical art class garb, but she certainly looks stunning. The 32-year-old mom did get into the holiday spirit upon exiting the school when students handed her a bouquet of flowers.
While Middleton was visiting the school, her husband, Prince William, along with Prince Harry, was helping communities affected by flooding. The brothers delivered sandbags with the Household Cavalry in Datchet in Berkshire. According to royal expert Victoria Arbiter, the boys made the decision to aid cleanup efforts privately. "This is when the royals do their best work," she tells Yahoo Shine.
Traditionally, the couple spends Valentine’s Day working. In 2012, they were apart as William was on duty in the Falklands and Kate spent the day at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital visiting young patients. Last year, while the duchess was just a few months pregnant with Prince George the couple laid low. (Valentine's Day isn't as big of a deal in the U.K. as it is in the United States.)
As for this year, there's still time for some romantic gestures. "They are together all the time," Arbiter says. "So hopefully Prince William makes every day Valentine’s Day."
