Kim Kardashian and ringIn case you were curious, the going rate for diamond engagement rings that once belonged to Hollywood's preeminent derriere-boosting sneaker saleswoman is $749,000. Forbes reports that Christie's auctioned off Kim Kardashian's former 20.5-carat engagement ring, the one given to her by her dead-eyed Keeping Up with the Kardashians co-star Kris Humphries in a poorly staged E! proposal. Earlier this month, E! confirmed that Humphries was auctioning off the ring through an unidentified representative for the N.B.A. player who may or may not have been Humphries himself. "He has long-since moved on," wrote Humphries's rep, "and is very much looking forward to a successful auction at Christie's on Tuesday, and of course to returning to the court this upcoming NBA season as a Boston Celtic."
