Lions and tigers and... breasts?! Sexy celebs and their sexy stuffed animals

Jennifer Aniston is in the news this week for revealing to Allure how she hated the 'Rachel' haircut that made her famous on Friends. ("I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen," she explained.) And, though the article is getting loads of attention (while actually being pretty standard magazine fare-Aniston watches The Bachelor! She's a good party host! Celebrities, they say things!), it's the accompanying photos that really caught our eye. In them, the actress appears waxen and eerily doll-like, cuddlin' up in unbuttoned pajamas, baring her side boobs, and making pouty-wouty baby faces under an astoundingly thick, spackle-y coat of taupe-tan makeup.

Now, we at Shine are all for a 41-year-old woman with a smokin' hot bod showing off said bod. But what we cannot abide, in fact, the one thing that is kind of making us want to slash our eyeballs and then die inside, is a grown-ass woman posing and making sexy-cooing baby faces while HOLDING A STUFFED ANIMAL.

    Seriously.

    Why is this a thing?

We did a little research and found hot women routinely photographed hugging, caressing, smooching, or otherwise simulating intimacy with furry toys. This phenomenon is not just infantilizing and weird, it's also-let's face it-kind of gross. And makeup-slathered and banged Jen Aniston is far from the first celeb to cozy up in a bedroom-eyes way to the Snuggle Bear. Check out our slideshow below. But, be warned folks. It's kind of grim.

Some of these are cute (Miranda Kerr), but others are kinda creepy... strike that... severely creepy (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan.) I love my stuffed animals as much as the next girl, but I don't need to go around straddling them or mashing them up against my ta-tas for my guy to think I look sexy. Many of these pics are actually pretty anit- feministic (I may have just invented my own word, lol), b/c they make women look childish. Several of these pics make me think of pedophiles...

Alot of men like them young, and with the sexy women and the teddy bears its like a fantasy world the photographer is creating. Why do you think when men have a midlife crisis they tend to leave the woman they are with for one way younger.

theres nothing wrong with having stuffed animals as an adult. But these photos strip, no pun intended, the innocence away from stuffed animals.

Our country promotes pedophilia in a very subtle way. The prepubescent body (models with no breast) is glamorized as the most beautiful thing. We have a unhealthy obsession with youth and these photos show it.

What do you think Jennifer gets paid for, just sitting there at the computer? No, dig up something to b---- about, it makes ratings and that is all its about. Besides, bet the celebs got paid good bucks for doing it too. Think she made that much? NOT!

At 26, I have stuffed animals, but I think of them as artistic pillows....not sexual props. I am in full agreement that trading in a woman's natural hotness for the appeal of a child is just...wrong. A hot, sexually mature woman is attractive because she says, "Look at me. I am a capable, cultivated, self-realized woman. If you can earn me, I'm well worth the effort." But these photos seem to say, "I'm a helpless, vulnerable baby. You can take me and do whatever you want with me." Men who are turned-on by the latter message aren't looking for a worthy, individualized parnter. They're looking to exploit easy prey, to mark previously uncharted territory, and--probably above all--to have sexual access to someone they can control or treat in whatever way they desire. Sick, sick, sick.

I think this is meant to portray the same concept as the grown woman talking in a "baby voice" (a bit Marilyn Monroe?). You know, women being cute and babyish, but not necessarily truly child-like.....none of these pics show women looking like children, they look like women. With the exception of Britney, of course....who was a child...

I don't really see the paedophile connection....what about schoolgirl uniforms? That's more of a paedophile connection, and FAR more mainstream (halloween costumes, strippers, in my closet at home, etc....)

Anyways. I saw some teddy bears, but I didn't seen any stuffed beavers....

Whoa, Lily Cole is not an "adult" model the way Anna Nicole Smith was an "adult" model. She's a high fashion model who has done nude shoots and, apparently, playboy. Don't belittle her career because she isn't mainstream.

this is what gets pedophiles off, i hope your proud of yourselves

Pinkrose, your comment was very insightful. I enjoyed looking at these photos from the photographer's point of view!

      yeah that's kind of weird...

I'm 26 and I can't remember the last time I came into contact with a stuffed animal that wasn't my daughters.

This is not cute at all! women and teddy bears. I dont think so. There is a fine line between sex and sweet and this is one of those in between's that should not happen. You either go dirty all the way with this or you dont. The Playboy cover is better than the rest.

So... I'd just like to point out that Lily Cole is not an "adult model". She is a model who happened to pose for playboy. She's apparently also an actress. And I think her picture is very attractive. Some of these look skeezy, but honestly, I'm an adult woman and I have stuffed animals at home. I don't normally sleep with them, but if my husband is away for some reason and I'm really wanting something to cuddle sometimes I use one of those. And since I rarely wear clothes, it often involves them pressed up against me.

And these pictures aren't going to appeal to pedophiles... pedophiles don't find adult women sexually attractive, even when they are curled up with teddy bears. Jeez. Men, however, tend to find women who embody contradictions attractive. These pictures are about combining sexuality and innocence, which is that big contradiction that men like (see Naughty Nurse/Librarian/School girl). It might be a very non-imaginative way to do it, but that is still the point of the pictures.

It's a "Madonna w----" complex. Men love virginal, innocent women, but also love raging, passionate skanks. So, these photos encapsulate that notion.
