Love Affection and understanding and also communication

Love----Everyone needs love being held, kissed and touched.
Affection---Everyone needs this too. the same hugs etc.
also Understanding, and communcation

Understanding and communication are very important in any relationship.

So why is it some people have problems giving these to others?
They want these but cant seem to give them.

Some time they can communicate and every once in a while they do have understanding but do not give much affection or the type of love a woman needs if you know what I mean.

Why is that can someone give me an answer.
