How His Porn Habit Can Affect You

How often does your guy look at porn?It's no secret that a lot of dudes have a thing for porn. Some just check out the occasional YouTube vid, while others have a serious obsession. And, according to new research, a man's porn habit can have an impact on your relationship...and you.

For the study, scientists from the University of Florida asked 308 women to fill out questionnaires about their guy's porn habits, how "normal" women think their guy's porn use is, and how his porn use made them feel.

Researchers discovered that women who say their boyfriends or husbands look at porn often tend to be less happy in their relationships than women who said their guys just look at it occasionally.

They also learned that women who believed their guy looked at porn more than the average man felt less satisfied with their sex lives, and were more likely to feel like they weren't good enough.

Sex experts have repeatedly told us that men don't look at porn because they're unsatisfied with your or your relationship-they just get aroused looking at it. But if your guy's habit bothers you, you need to speak up.

Ian Kerner, PhD, author of She Comes First, says it's important not to embarrass or shame your guy. Try something like, "I understand the porn thing, but here's what kind of bugs me about it… ." It's key for you to understand what it is about porn that upsets you, and to clue your guy in on that.
