Some call it a comeback. Some call it sweet revenge. We call it Bouncing Back. We're talking about getting over a heartbreak, breaking from a bad past relationship and moving on to bigger and better things.
Monday night's season finale of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love gave us not one, not two, not three, but a record FOUR cases of broken hearts trying to heal. Here's how the season played out - who bounced back the best? Tell us what you think.
THE CASE FOR JAKE
Jake the Bachelor is and has always been the "good guy" - and he's sick and tired of people breaking his heart by telling him he's too perfect, including Jillian from last season's Bachelorette, who let Jake go. So his second time around, he chooses Vienna, the "bad girl," and shocks everyone. Did he break his too-good-to-be-true image? Or, did he fall in physical love but not emotional love? Either way, is he happy and has he bounced back?
THE CASE FOR TENLEY
Ah, Tenley. Everyone loves her sweet demeanor, wholesome image, and positive attitude. But her fairytale behavior - and possibly expectations - may have made things a little too sickly sweet for Jake, who seemed to be looking for something more. Although she wasn't picked to be Jake's princess, and her heart was broken, she did thank Jake (repeatedly) for showing her she can love again after her ex-husband left her. Perhaps Tenley is on the road to bouncing back more than anyone.
THE CASE FOR ALI
Ali was the front-runner, a crowd favorite, then abruptly left the show in favor of keeping her job. Heartbroken over Jake, she then decided that she wanted to come back and risk losing her job. When Jake refused to let her return, she stayed at her job. Now she's apparently quitting her job to become the next Bachelorette. While we love Ali, she needs to learn to pick something and stick with it - we just hope she'll apply that when she's choosing from 25 guys. Otherwise she'll never be able to move forward.
THE CASE FOR VIENNA
It's tough to say Vienna will bounce back from a heartbreak, because it doesn't seem as if she's had her heart broken before. At 23, with one marriage and divorce under her belt, not to mention speculation of spending her ex-husband's money without permission, among other gossip, Vienna claims to have found the man of her dreams in Jake. The real question here is, will Vienna ever clean up her image and win over America as the right choice for Jake?
