    Stylish and Romantic

"I call the tiny block typeface here [Sackers Gothic] 'the fashionista's font.' Marc Jacobs uses it on printed material. The little arrow on the 'and' does a nice job of evoking Cupid in place of a heart, which would be cheesy."

Letterpress invite with gold-foil stamping, $2,400 for 100 (includes RSVPs and envelopes), chereeberry.com.

    Arty and Understated

"Simple lettering lets the art stand out. The Helvetica typeface is what designers reach for again and again. We call it 'the Honda of fonts,' and even Grandma can read it."

Thermography-printed invite with custom die-cut foliage, $3,000 for 100 (includes rehearsal-dinner cards, RSVPs, thank-you notes, and lined envelopes), lusciousverde.com.

    Clever and Gusty

"A funky mix of Western-and carnival-inspired fonts has the potential to look busy, but it's laid out here in a smart way. Contrasting light and dark inks make it easy to read."

Letterpress two-color invite, $895 for 100 (includes RSVP postcards and envelopes), letterpresslove.com

    Theatrical and Fun

"This giant display type freaked me out at first. It works because it's done in soft, pretty colors. It looks like an old Playbill."

Letterpress invite, $2,235 for 100 (includes escort cards, thank-you notes, RSVPs, and printed envelopes), flywheelpress.com

    Whimsical and Breezy

"Free-form swirls evoke the wind and waves on the beach where they're getting married-proof that typography can express a mood. You don't have to be literal and use images like seashells or sand dollars."

Letterpress invite with calligraphy design, $1,440 for 100 (includes RSVPs and printed envelopes), bellafigura.com
