Why Do Men Pay For Sex?

It is NOT always about control...

Some men want to have sex. They aren't married and don't have a girlfriend, so they pay for sex. Or, they are separated from their wife/girlfriend and want to have sex. They don't want a relationship, so they pay a girl (or a guy) for the sex.

Other times the guy may want to do something he has never done before. They could be married, or have a girlfriend, or be single. They don't have someone that will do what they want to do, or they feel to ashamed or embarrased to ask (if they DO have a wife or girlfriend), so they pay a professional who will do whatever it is that they don't get somewhere else.

I am a guy, and I don't like having sex with prostitutes. I have always liked to have sex within a relationship. I would rather spend time with someone AND have sex. If I just want sex only, I can have it with myself.

What about the abusive, mean spirited, men who treat their wives like crap? A lot of these men have attractive wives who like sex, but the men are a-holes and the women are upset with them.

I know plenty of cases like this. The women are beautiful, slim, classy and intelligent. Its the men who are bums and plenty of these guys are Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde. Successful and nice on the outside and mean abusive control freaks to the women.

Don't put all the blame on the women. Men treat their wives like dirt and then wonder why they aren't getting any sex???

Rich, drop the pseudo-feminazi-hag routine, it's unbecoming of you as a man. And it's not domination it's lust, pure and simple. Plus the guy's ego, he needs to have a way to engage in sex, so money is his way, he has no game otherwise. If you had any testosterone running thru your veins, you'd understand.

Men pay for all the sex they have from the first time to the last time, you have a girlfriend you take her out spend money on her you get sex.The question should be (Why do women alway want to be paid for sex). You get married men pay for the house the cars the vacations and in return we get sex, try a little experiment stop having sex with your man for a short time see how much money he spend on you then see how it changes when you give what he want the sex. Never in 45 years have I ever had a woman have sex with me that did not want something in return God gave you the p---- for free but you make men pay for it everytime we use it.

I enjoyed your article. I believe that the reason that men purchase sex is because they have NO respect for themselves or other people. You would have to have that kind of attitude to reduce yourself to exchanging money for sex. I do want to address your comment about no woman wanting to grow up and be a stripper or a prostitute. I would tell you that porn model should be on that list too. The fact that you indulge in pornography is also not a healthy industry for women, whether it is amateur or professional. Do you think those women grew up saying that I can't wait for everyone to watch me have sex? I don't think so. You might want to revisit your own issues.

what kind of a crap article is this...purchase..u dont purchase sex..u pay for sex...do you purchase your haircut? do you bring back your barber home?

Truthfully, I personally think that prostitution is wrong.

But, there are women out there whether you wanna believe it or not that want to do this work. They like the pay and don't see it as a bad thing. I think it is their choice what they want to do with their bodies.

Now, as far as abuse and being forced into this life style, yeah of course I am against it.

But for the women who choose to do this as their living, it is what they choose, and they aren't being dominated.

Now why do men go to prostitutes? Why do men pay for sex? There are as many possible reasons as there are men in the world.

Personally, I have felt so cold, lonely, and abandoned that I have been tempted to pay for sex. I didn't have any intentions of dominating anything, I just wanted to have that comfort. You can act all high and self righteous all you want but it is what it is. It is a business transaction: a man pays for sex. The woman gets the money, and the man gets the comfort he seeks.

Sure it is a thousand / million more fulfilling to have sex for love. But what about the poor b------ who caught his wife in bed with another man? What about the guy who just got dumped by his girlfriend and he really is too damaged to try and get into another relationship? Some of these men don't have people they can turn to, some of them just want the pleasure and comfort of having sex with no strings. Is it wrong? Maybe. But as long as no one is getting hurt or forced I don't see it as being this horrible horrible crime.

I totally respect women and consider myself a gentlmen but whats the difference between a hooker for $ or a girl at the bar playing a guy for drinks with no intention of doing anything or evan being interested in the guy.I'm not into porn or prostitutes but some girls out there are worse than a girl trying to earn a living. legalize it and most users will be sidelines looking in.

Well, i did see prostitute quite a number of times,i never wanted to dominate any pros. i always wanted other party to have orgasm so that we both enjoy the next 1 hour.i was too busy with my studies and work, no time for long/short term relationship. i have just visited prostitutes to get rid of my stress.It is also ture that i was hardly satisfied after that 1 hour coz for the enjoyment u have to have some feelings in it.Otherwise only sex is waste of time and money its better if we masterbate.

Maybe a guy just wants to have sex without all of the emotional baggage that goes along with a relationship.Sex can be about just that sex except if your a woman then it is so much deeper and you dont want your man you want the perfect man.

pre marital sex i think is a sin because what if you get pregnant then you would have to move into marriage and moving in with eachother without making long decisions. im not married yet but when i do get married i will know that i made the right decision by waiting and not rushing into anything and going slowly

I dont think that the resion for men paying for sex is domination, or possibly just domination of sex, but I think it makes more sense that they just want to sexually 'vent' and propably masturbation is not enough since they want the woman, yet dont give a shit about the love, or it could be because they want to have sex in a different way than what their partner feals comfortable with, a certain 'wild' sex position that only a prostitute would not mind. Either way it is taking advantage of a woman that cant do anything else. Prostitution is a form of begging, where insteaad of sitting in the streats, and get some cash, they get used but for a larger profit.

They pay for sex because it's worth it.
