Why is Everyone Disappointed in Tiger?

Rich and powerful people do it and they are all over the news.
When poor smucks do it nobody cares, infidelity is the same they still cheated,it happens every day with every day people.
NO i am not saying it is o.k i would not condone or advocate that type of behavior, especialy when children are involved.

Tiger why did you get married when you could have stayed single and played with any woman who is so hard up to mess with someone else man and know they are married. She is wrong to,and should have more class then that.

ok its been about a month since all this happend... TIGER is HUMAN he isnt perfect NOBODY is... jus the simple fact that hes a great athlete got him in the spot light... his wife and his family should be the only ones in this BIZZ.. who gives a crap what happens to there relationship and there money... im sure everyone else has there own issues to worry about so why focus on someone elses... im sure to avoid yours but hey just remember he is man and man isnt perfect.. if he wants to change more power to him and if he doesnt more power to him... DO WHAT U WANNA DO TIGER NONE OF US KNO EXACTLY WATS GOING ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS...

Please. Nobody's ever given that excuse for anyone famous who is female or poor, so why is he entitled to it? HE is the one who made the vows. HE is the one who made kids for whom he is responsible for their emotional health and well being. HE alone takes responsibility for his actions. Blaming the wife or the mistresses is a pandering, intelligence insulting cop out and you people ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

SO Tiger decided marriage wasn't for him. Uh, is he so sheltered and ignorant that he doesn't know what a D-I-V-O-R-C-E is? He didn't have to go philandering around, throwing his fame and money around to impress lower income women (then using it against them as if THEY are the ones exploiting him and his feelings).

Tiger is a disappointment to me, because he's a fake and a conniving, manipulative, entitled a-word-hole. ANYONE who fits that description isn't worth my respect, so if that isn't good enough for "Married Jake" then too damn bad.

Most of you responding must be under 35 and have cheated on someone you once loved or thought you loved, or perhaps your parents did. I thought maybe someone finally got it right. I mean the guy always presents himself as a caring person. He has done so many wonderful things for kids and charities. Is it to much to ask for men to leave it in their pants when they leave home. Obviously most of you have never lived with morals. Lets face it, if you are brought up without morals then I guess you could never be expected to have any. Does no one care that many people are terribly hurt by what he did. How about his wife who can not even leave the house without people talking about her. And the children, they will have to live with this forever. How their father could not commit to a relationship without humilating people who thought they were loved and respected by him. I don't mean just because he is well known. He could be the guy down the street and it would still be the same hurt for his family. Men think because women with no morals are out looking for sex, that they are entitled to give it, what is with everyone. Have you all gone crazy. Did he really think he was not going to get caught? Anyway, he has lost my respect for him.

Tiger Woods is a human being like anybody else. Temptations are always there especially with his fame , money, physique and what not.Definately all women would wish to be associated with him.I beg for her wife and the entire family to forgive him and let life continue as theyve come from far.

I agree that we put celebrities on pedestals. All of us fall short and those who are more tempted - and believe me, celebrities get more than their fair share of temptation! are more likely to fall. But why do we have to make such a big deal of it? What business is it of any of ours? That any of this crap is "news" shows how much Americans want to avoid real news today. There are actors who are rather scuzzy in their private lives but they still can act, and unless they are openly sleeping with their adopted children or raping thirteen year olds, I don't care. Everyone has their own limit of how much they will tolerate in an actor, athlete, or even a spouse. I mean, who MARRIES these people? And why do we presume they are so innocent? Money worship isn't the provence only of the money-maker.

Saw the title of the article and wanted to respond. I haven't read the article or anyone elses post. Too often people get tied up in the lives of celebrities. I am not disappointed in Tiger, I'm disappointed in the treatment of his wife and kids. I'm not a golf fan and couldn't have care less about Tiger Woods before or after "the scandal". I would feel bad for any woman or man that gets betrayed by a partner they thought loved and respected them.

I don't think you're jaded, you are holding all spouses to the same standard. I think you are right that just because Tiger is a brilliant athlete and self-brander does not mean he is a good husband or man, for that matter.

Personally this is between him and his wife. Not the whole world. If you or your spouse was cheating would you want the whole world knowing your business?

How obvious it is to us reading these comments from those who state the most ridiculous thoughts here..."all guys cheat"..."celebrities are all just personal failures with a cool career"...those thoughts are from individuals who really are only protecting their OWN faults and short-comings.

I'm a woman, but I know some incredible men who I know would NEVER and have NEVER cheated. It’s called MORALS! Hello, people??!!! Tiger Woods cheated and acted like an immature idiot because his mentor and father passed away, allowing him to "enjoy" a life he never was able to enjoy while “young and stupid.” One that a driven childhood and young adult life never allowed. While most people get the chance to "enjoy" being young in college years or high school, he didn't. So he decided to “enjoy” it NOW.

The PROBLEM is that he did it AT THE EXPENSE of OTHERS!! ANYTHING done at the expense of hurting those you're supposed to LOVE and CARE ABOUT, is WRONG.

If Tiger wanted to sleep around with sluts and gold-diggers every night...FINE--be a disgusting, disease-ridden whore! But he needs to LEAVE HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN BEFORE engaging is such filth! And he needs to STOP HIDING like a COWARD about who he REALLY IS to the public!! All he needed to do was LEAVE HIS WIFE so she could find a REAL MAN and he could party like the rock star he THINKS he is all night. (trading his Accenture sponsorship for TROJAN CONDOMS, of course, since he doesn’t even have the decency to USE CONDOMS with those sluts. Maybe the new sponsorship would provide them because he’s obviously also brain-dead).

THAT’S what's disappointing!! HE's not as strong as he acts on the green...because he can't stand up to the sluts, can't be real to the public, and can't even have sex without taking a drug like Ambien. THAT'S what makes him a loser. And NONE of that is EXCUSED or THE RESULT of being a MAN, RICH, or a CELEBRITY. It's the result of making LOSER CHOICES, like any old LOSER would.
