    Would You Upgrade Your Engagement Ring?

    We've heard about push presents. We've heard about divorce parties. And it seems that the newest trend is upgrading your engagement ring after your marriage has passed a certain milestone-or simply because you feel like the one you started with seems a little small.     More and more wives are looking to trade in their current piece of jewelry, either for more diamonds or a different style than their husbands picked out. Or sometimes a husband decides that now that he makes more money, he wants to show his wife she's worth spoiling via more bling on the ring. While some wives adore such a gift, there is the occasional wife who's surprised at such a love gesture, and can't imagine such an extravagant gift (try instead these small ways to show you care) taking the place of the original ring.     Maybe DeBeers should think about changing their slogan. A diamond is for a decade, perhaps? What do you think?
