New York Giants Star Victor Cruz is Engaged!
Victor Cruz proposed to his girlfriend and the mother of his two-year-old daughter, Elaina Watley, on July 13th. The wide receiver popped the question in front of family and friends at their daughter Kennedy's baby dedication ceremony at the Love of Jesus Family Church in Paterson, New Jersey.
The adorable high school sweethearts met in 2003. Cruz gifted his longtime love a stunning solitaire engagement ring, pictured below. Watley told Page Six, "The ring is beautiful - it's a round stone with a pink diamond band." She also said that although they haven't made plans yet, they are considering either a destination wedding or an "iconic" New York ceremony.
Regardless of what locale Cruz and Watley pick, it is sure to be a fashion-filled soirée. The stylish duo have been known to brush elbows with major designers and celebrities at New York and Paris Fashion Week and Anna Wintour's Met Ball. In 2012, Cruz even cut the ribbon to kick off Fashion Week in New York and acted as a fashion critic for Vanity Fair at multiple runway shows.
Watley helps manage Cruz's career through her firm Brand Infinite and has been instrumental in his success. Cruz has been quoted saying that his bride-to-be is "the backbone of my life." When Watley was pregnant with their daughter Kennedy, she attended every game and was considered to be Cruz's lucky charm when the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2012.
We expect the charismatic groom to wow guests with his signature touchdown celebration salsa moves at the reception!
