Mad Dash: Miss America weighs in on Tom Brady controversy

The Miss America pageant is meant to highlight contestants' intelligence and moral fiber, as well as physical appearance, so what better way to cut to a person's core than to ask them about Deflategate on national television. This was the case for eventual winner Betty Cantrell, who was asked whether Tom Brady cheated and gave the following answer: "I think I'd have to be there to see the ball, and feel it to make sure it was deflated or not deflated. But if there was question there, then yes, I think he cheated. If there were any question to be had, I think that he definitely cheated, and he should've been suspended for that. That's not fair." Cantrell, who was representing Georgia, was crowned Miss America shortly after her answer. Whether or not that was a coincidence, we'll let you decide.

Speaking of recently star-crossed quarterbacks ... After three seasons in the league, Russell Wilson should know better than to look past an opponent, especially a divisional foe. But the Seattle signal-caller posted an unfortunate tweet the day before his Week 1 loss to the Rams that simply said "1-0 #GoHawks." Lest Wilson consider sweeping the ill-fated tweet under the rug, the Rams' social media department took the necessary steps to make sure nobody missed it. One game at a time there, Russ.

That advice could also have been extended to the gentleman featured in our final topic. See the video above for footage of the painful end to his tailgating fun. Clearly, that wasn't that poor Bills fan's first game of Dizzy-Bat that day.
