OVERDOING EVERYTHING WITH CHEMICALS LEADS TO TROUBLE LATER ON. THANKS FOR THE DIY TIPS WITH NATURAL INGREDIENTS. WE SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL WITH OUR FACE AND SKIN. WE ARE AN "OVER-DO" SOCIETY.

In the a.m. when my expresso machine is steaming, I lean over it and steam my face. I get the dual benefits of caffeine and steam. Clears the sinuses also.

Wish I could always get at least 8 hrs sleep. I'm a nurse and work 7pm-7am. I have kids in school and so as soon as they walk in the door I hop into Mommy mode. 6 1/2 hrs is what I usually get during my day time sleep days. On my first day to work I get up with the kids at 7am, and don't get to bed till 8:30 am ish the next morning. Am I destin to an early grave after all my helping humanity??? : (

What if you cant get 7-9 hours of sleep?
    • GlamourGirl  •  2 years 1 month ago
Katie W, getting at least 7 hours a sleep every night is vital for your overall health. Of course, there will be times where it's just not possible, especially if you have kids and an extremely busy schedule, but my advice would be to learn how to say "no". Narrow down your schedule to the things that are the most important and don't be afraid to ask for help. It's okay to put yourself first sometimes.

Way to go, no make up to clog the pores, less exfoliating needed. Eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies and you get a natural shine to your skin. Water and lots of fresh Alaskan air.

Adding some essential oils to your steambowl is a nice way to enhance your facial. Also, a lemon and salt mixture makes a great exfoliating rub. Salt has antibacterial properties and the lemon is acidic, which improves exfoliation.

LOL @ Romary- Looks like someone failed high school Chemistry. Don't you know that everything in the universe is made up of chemicals? Even you! I hate when people say "chemicals are bad, blah blah blah". It is so ignorant.
