Use apple cider vinegar on your hair
"It gets rid of build-up and makes your hair really shiny. Pour 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar on wet hair, being careful not to get it in your eyes. Massage into your scalp, add shampoo, and massage some more. Rinse and condition hair." -Jamie, Naples, Florida
Don't ever have a bad-clothes day
"Never go out in pajamas and a scrunchie because you never know when opportunity will knock. Do not wear over-sized t-shirts, or clothes that are too tight. Always wear clean underwear." -Laura, New York City
Make sure you moisturize-and laugh
"A happy person is a beautiful person. Laugh often. Oh, and moisturize! I do look younger than I am. It could be the laughing. It could be the moisturizer. Or both!" - Johanna, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey
Herbs are good for something besides tea
"Put chamomile, lavender and mint into a sink of hot water. You can use tea bags. Make sure your face is clean, and then put your face near the sink with a towel over your head, making a tent." - Amanda, New York City
Buy the best perfume you can afford
"Mom always wore perfume and she invariably chose something luxurious and unusual. (No department store stuff for her; she found a Van Cleef & Arpels scent that no one else in our town had heard of.) Like her, I hunt down unique perfumes and I can't leave the house without a dab at my wrists and neck. In fact, even if I don't leave the house, I put it on." - Jennifer, Brooklyn, New York
Wear a hat with your sunscreen
"Sun damage and diet can undermine any face. If you're in the sun for a long time, wear a hat and UV protective clothing. My mom's a dermatologist!" - Dinah, New York City
