    Multi-tasking makeup: Beauty's hottest trend

Back when I worked at a major cosmetics company, teaching sales people to multi-task their products was simply unheard of. We heard all about the possible nasty side effects from using cheek cream on your lips or eyeliner on your lids. Despite the industry's best efforts to make clients spend more money on their products, demand for money-saving, time-saving goodies has created a new trend. This year's hottest trend is multi-tasking makeup!

Blush and bronzer combos: Women want it all, a little color on the cheeks but a healthy sun kissed finish. That means you have to buy the right seasonal cheek color and a bronzing product. No more! Companies like NARS give women want they want--a two-in-one space saving blush/bronze combo. With names like "Orgasm/Laguna" and "Sin/Casino," they definitely satisfy the buying urge.

Conceal and cover: Goodbye heavy makeup. This year's hot beauty trends have fashion-seekers opting for tinted moisturizers without abandoning the all important blemish coverage. Votre Vu's Love Me Deux is a moisture tint/concealer combo all contained in one package. Flip the top of the tube and you'll see the creamy concealer. Flip the tube again and you'll get a squirt of smoothing tint. Water-based and light weight, to top it off, this company donates $1 for every product you purchase to St. Baldric's Foundation. (And did I mention it was French-inspired?)

Cheeks and lips: Get a flattering blush and a touch of lip color all in one with Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks. This sweet product comes in a handy compact complete with mirror. That's great when you want to apply a touch of color on the run. With vibrant colors like Calypso Orange, Fresh Melon and Raspberry, you are sure to find one you'll fall in love with.

Lids and liner: I've looked and looked but I still can't find a better multi-tasking makeup, (at least for your eyes) than CoverGirl's SmokyShadowBlast. It's easy to grab when you reach blindly into your purse and the caps fit tightly on the ends. One side is an easy to wear liner and the other a smooth shadow, it's another win-win for makeup lovers. There's plenty of color to choose from too. Try combos like Tempest Blue, Bronze Fire and Silver Sky this holiday season.

If your makeup doesn't multi-task consider trying one of these dynamic duos. Your vanity table and purse will thank you for it!
