DiGiorno Pizza schools everyone with their “The Sound of Music Live” tweets

You may have read some terrific tweets during Thursday night's broadcast of "The Sound of Music Live!" The NBC special offered more than enough material to work with (though, in all fairness, it was a lot of fun -- and considering Carrie Underwood isn't an actress, it could've been worse), and TV events like "The Sound of Music Live!," "Sharknado," and last year's "Liz & Dick" are Twitter fodder in the best possible way.

But nobody -- nobody -- had anything on DiGiorno. Yes, the pizza brand.

DiGiorno had already amused quite a few people over American Thanksgiving with a few self-pitying (but still hilarious tweets):

But the brand really outdid itself with "The Sound of Music Live!" DiGiorno opted to live-tweet the TV special in the only way they could: with many references to pizza. (Surprising especially since Captain Von Trapp does not seem like the type of guy to choose store-bought pizza over delivery.) It began with true emotion:

Then continued with some improv:

Only to delve to some keen observation:

Eventually, DiGiorno began dishing out advice:

And uncovered the truth:

It crowd-sourced:

And somehow tapped into our wildest dreams:

Then came the jokes:

And self-promotion:

Only for DiGiorno to be outed as a philosopher:

And a serving (eh? eh?) of honesty:

But ultimately, DiGiorno proved itself to understand the teen demographic:

And the good work it did:

Buzzfeed attempted to reach out to the genius in charge of DiGiorno's Twitter account, but the person in question shunned the spotlight:

“I will say this was an unplanned event. That the brand trusts me and my agency with the account. And that trust is what makes moments like this possible,” the tweeter told them.

Climb ev'ry mountain, DiGiorno! The hills are truly alive, with the sound of pizza.
