10 Best Weirdly Popular Baby Names

I named my Brennan (after Supreme Court Justice William Brennan) and he is still the only Brennan in his school, although we have come across two others elsewhere in the last few years. If he had been a girl, I wanted to use the Hebrew name Jaden, which is actually a boy's name and very common in Israel. At the time, I thought Jaden name was a bit feminine for a boy in the U.S. I'm SO glad we didn't use Jaden because it has become more common and also because Britney Spears named her son Jayden and unfortunately did not use the traditional Hebrew spelling. What can you expect for someone whose name is spelled BritNEY rather than Brittany....

Back in the early 80's I named my first daughter Whitney. Next daughter is Jordan (not popular in 1986 yet), next daughter Taylor in 1990 and my son Connor in 1992. Now all my kids names are real common. So I named my granddaughter Hadlee Rayne because you don't hear it much. I had also considered Finlee, Brynlee, Harper and Avery.

i dont see what is so weird about the names on this list. you can find alot weirder ones if you just look at celebrities kids names.

My nephew's name is Araunah and my niece's name is Symphony. Very unique names. At first wasn't too sure about them but now they fit them perfectly.

Thank God I did not give my children names that no one knew how to spell or pronounce, like so many I have read on here. So many parents today throw a bunch of letters together and call it a name. Astrid? never heard of it Sounds like a medicine. Renemsee? I feel so sorry for any child named that. My son is named after a Viking, and my daughter is named after a flower. Parents, think about what you are doing to your children, they are the ones who have to live with the name you give them.

We named our daughter Austin Debree . Yes we get ask why But I like the name and no one else has her name in school .

well there are a lot of wierd names out there like johnny cash sang "the boy named sue" i mean honestly what were some thinking when they names and my name don't get me started!!!

I should have just stuck to the first two and kept it simple.

I like Calvin reminds of Calvin Klein, Quincy, think of the music producer Quincy Jones. Zack , Silas , Ursula A. was a famous actress in the 60's before Bo Derek came along, and so forth. Parents can pick a any name , its their child, just like your's or mine.

I agree the names aren't that "weird" I've heard of all of them.

My daughter is named after both of my great grandmothers (Madilyn Rose) & my son is named after my brother & my dad (Christopher Scott) ... & I think those few people who made fun of Renemsee should make sure they know what they're talking about first before they try to hurt someones feelings... that was mean.
