10 Reasons to Love the Terrible Twos

I love all these things about my 2 year old too. And I am a lucky one I guess, because she doesn't have many tantrums.
She is more snuggly and smiley now than when she was a younger baby. She was a fussy, crying cranky baby for a really, really long time. I never understood whay. It was difficult and frustrating, because you can't reason with or try to correct fussy baby behavior. But a 2 year old can learn right from wrong. And you can have a conversation with them and they do have logic behind even what seems to you an illogical reaction.
I thank God every day for my toddler. And believe it or not, I wish she could stay just this way for a long time. I know I sound like a nut or like I'm bragging or something, but it's just how I truly feel.

my daughter is two and a few months. this terrible twos behavior started a little before her 2nd birthday. my husband were quick to correct her misbehaving. she gets a swat and the butt if she screams or throws a fit in public and when we get home, she gets sent to her room until she can act like a good little girl. my husband and i have very clear boundaries, if she over steps them....she gets disciplined. we refuse to have a savage as a child. it all starts with good parenting.

There is nothing cute about a 2 year old yelling and screaming while tossing around on the floor because they want cookies for dinner or flopping down in the middle of a store because they want to drag everything off the shelf. My daughter is 2 and a half and she is smack in the middle of this type of behavior. I ask her to do something and she yells "NO" then proceeds to throw everything in her reach. This isn't a time for admiring how cute their little temper tantrums are, its the time to teach them they can't always get what the want.
As for wanting to do things for themselves. HA! Mine has decided she wants to be a baby again, most likely due to the fact she is a big sister. Every time she tries to dress herself or do anything more complicated than drinking out of a big kid cup, she immediately gets frustrated and starts screaming until I take away the offending item.
She does however have an ever expanding vocabulary which never ceases to amaze us. She comes up with all kinds of funny things to say. The other day I was scolding her for messing around at my desk and she jumped up on the couch, looked at me and screamed "I LOVE YOU!", stopped me dead in my tracks and made me laugh.
