AMBER Alerts and Facebook Team Up to Help Missing Children

Paying attention to your news feed may now be able to help save a child's life. Last week, on the fifteenth anniversary of the AMBER alert system, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children announced it will partner with Facebook-and the millions of people on the social network-to help spread the word of missing children.

A total of 53 AMBER alert pages were created, including one for each state, as well as U.S. Virgin Islands, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Users are able to sign up to receive bulletins for their state, which will be distributed through Facebook's news feed.

We encourage you to visit (and Like) www.facebook.com/AMBERalert. There, you can receive more information about the program, sign up for your state's bulletins and invite your friends to sign up as well.
The more people who sign up, the more we can help!
