    Not long after Cullen started walking, he started trying to pull all of our kitchen cabinets open. It was a bit labor intensive, but my husband installed these cabinet locks on every single door. It takes some getting used to do push them down each time, but now it's second nature!

    When my baby started walking, I was running around hiding cords, elevating breakables, and throwing my body across the open top of our staircase. We realized pretty quickly that we needed to do some serious baby-proofing. I know a lot of parents who give baby-proofing sort of a half effort. They remove obvious threats, but a lot of things remain, and they end up exhausted and frustrated because they are constantly dragging toddlers away from dangerous spaces. We decided to do a comprehensive, complete job of baby-proofing. Because we've removed every potential danger zones in our house, we now have a space where we can totally relax.
