Photo Credit: blairpeter.typepad.comWitness this little piece of kid-craft goodness, will you? Sure, a crafty mama helped out a little bit. But was mostly the work of a girl named Emma as part of a third-grade class project last year. (Emma is the daughter of the blogger gal who runs Wise Craft.) Emma had to pick a store from a specific street in Seattle and her assignment was to create a replica.
You can get more details about her story over at this post (and do read it...it's cute and the detailed photos are awesome).
Here's what I love about this particular project: It's a simple reminder that sometimes all you need is a box, some tape, glue and paint/markers...and your kids can be busy for hours creating cardboard masterpieces. Whether it's a replica of a building, a house for dolls, Lego people or stuffed animals, it's a great craft for kids. (Tip: It's also nice to stash a few cardboard boxes aside for rainy day activities.)
