Crafty mamas help their kids make....homemade playdough

Photo Credit: lets-explore.typepad.comPhoto Credit: lets-explore.typepad.comWe've talked gak. We've talked cereal-box postcards. But there is one little project that is a kid craft piece de resistance: homemade playdough.

I know, I know. Play-doh is cheap. Why make it?

Because one, you'll know exactly which ingredients are in your playdough. Two, you probably don't have to go anywhere to buy anything. Every ingredient is something you likely have in your kitchen. And three, your kid will love helping you make it. It's a good project for rainy days and those moments when you just need to do something, anything, to shake up the routine. Plus? You will never run out because you can always...make more!

If I've managed to convince you, go check out these instructions over at the blog, Let's Explore.
