Depressing news stories about kids: can you read them?

I read about toddlers a lot-books, blogs, newspapers, news sites. Sometimes, it can be downright depressing.

Here are some of yesterday's online headlines (I can't relay the stories because I can't bear to click on the links):

Toddler injured in Christmas Eve Fire in Little Village Dies

    Toddler Hit by Car Dies

Pair in Custody After Death of Toddler

Toddler Recovering from Gunshot to the Head

    Toddler Drowns in Backyard Pool

    Dog Euthanized After Killing Toddler

Toddler Falls to Death from Apartment Roof

Pot Activist Gives Grandson Marijuana Cookie Then Kills Herself

The list goes on, but you get the idea.

Headlines like this break my heart every day. Those poor kids. Those poor parents.

I feel so lucky today-and every day.

Are you able to read or watch depressing news stories about kids?
