While most five-year-olds are scared of monsters and clowns, Aidan Reed has always loved them. He draws pictures of jesters and demons and creates his own whimsically ghoulish costumes. Now his love of all things wild and spooky is helping him through his battle with Leukemia as well as the monstrous bills that come with it.
Aidan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last month and while he recovers from chemotherapy, he's returned to something he loves: Drawing monsters. His artwork is imaginative, colorful, and helpful in more ways than one now that he is selling it on Etsy to offset his medical expenses.
Response to his efforts has been exceptional. "Not only is Aidan feeling better, we cannot believe the outpouring of support we are receiving from people," writes his aunt who manages Aidan's blog and Etsy store. "The shop had a spectacular turn out and sold over 400 prints in less than 24 hours."
Orders continue to pour in for Aidan's charming artwork, which goes for $12 per print and guarantees all proceeds go directly to his cancer treatment.
