Imagine with me for a few moments.
Imagine you are a child.
Imagine you are a child who has been raised to respect your elders.
Imagine you are a child who has been raised to appreciate that if you work hard you will succeed.
Imagine you are a child in a sport who has been raised to listen and obey those adults who are your teachers, your coaches, on whom you rely for your success
Imagine you are a child who completely trusts that coach, a person you want to please in making you reach your full potential.
Now imagine you are a child who has been raped by this very person you trusted.
Imagine you are a child who is afraid.
Imagine you are a child who is silent.
Imagine you are a child who is confused.
Imagine you are a child who is threatened.
Imagine you are a child who has no power.
Imagine you are a child who has now become the primary target of a pedophile.
Imagine you are a child who has the full attention of your coach with no avenue for escape.
Imagine now that you are an adult.
You have heard reports of accusations against a man whom you have tried to erase from your psyche. It all comes flooding back; the fear, the revulsion, the shame. For something that was not your fault.
So many children suffered at the hands of this beast. Why were there were so many? How did no-one know? And those who did, how can they all have remained silent?
Justice? What justice? A 'respected' swimming coach. An Olympic coach at that. Head of the Irish swimming association. Friends in high places. It seemed unbelievable, incomprehensible what he did. He was a family man, a church-going man. He had been entrusted with the care of hundreds of children. Like lambs to slaughter.
He was accused, by many. Evidence given, by many. Suffering endured, by many. Charges? None. Not one. He got off on a technicality, a loop-hole since closed.
I'm talking about Olympic Swimming Coach and Irish pedophile George 'John' Gibney.
When charged, the Irish Supreme Court, of which one member Susan Denham was the sister of Gibney's primary defense attorney Patrick Gageby, let him go in 1994. Shortly after the dismissal more victims came forward bringing new evidence and a new set of more charges. But he was gone.
Did he face those new charges? No. Instead he fled to the UK. Then the U.S.A. where he has lived and served as a swimming coach since 1999. Yes he lives, works, attends church, and prospers, free from any restrictions or monitoring in Orange City Florida. Until recently that is, until someone stirred up his nest. One has to wonder how he has managed to live and prosper for so long without help. If he has had help, what's the source? And why would anyone help him?
If you, like me, are appalled by these facts I urge you to take action.

You can read this and think 'bad man, poor kids' and go on with your life. Or you can do something about it.
Will you help speak up? Will you help prevent further abuse from a ruthless manipulative predator?

I are writing to you today to demand immediate action to extradite George (aka John aka Jon) Gibney to Ireland to face charges of rape and sexual Assault on minor(s).
Your inaction in not pursuing the prosecution of George Gibney has allowed a child predator free reign not only to live, but to work with and have regular access to children in these United States.
We, as concerned voting citizens are making you aware that we are watching how you proceed in dealing with this predator.
The Irish Department of Public Prosecutions has knowingly allowed this predator to remain free unchallenged in the U.S. for 16 years, his behavior well known them. Will you allow this to continue and do nothing?
We ask that you take action. Do your part and demand that Ireland seeks the extradition of George Gibney to face the charges that are gathering dust.
