There is a Naturino store right around the corner from my house, so I pass these sparkly pink shoes every day. And every day my daughter asks, "Mommy can I get those?"
I will admit-they are cute. Who could resist something pink and sparkly. The reason I won't break down and buy them? They're $56!
No mater what your household income, I think we can all agree that $56 is a lot of money for shoes for a 3-year-old. I love my daughter, but I also know that little girl destroys shoes. So no, I'm just not paying that kind of money for those shoes. It would literally be like me throwing the cash in the garbage.
But you know what, even if my daughter kept her shoes in pristine condition, I still wouldn't spend $50+ on her shoes. Call me cheap, but my cutoff is $25. And that's even pushing it. It's not that I don't think my daughter deserves the best, but I know she'll outgrow them in a few months. Plus, she never complains the cheap shoes are uncomfortable, so why splurge?
Now that I've revealed my inner cheapskate, it's your turn. How much do you spend on your kid's shoes? Is there a price you absolutely refuse to go over?
