Levi Johnston: Sarah Palin let us share a room, we didn't always use a condom

US WeeklyOn an episode of the "Tyra Show" airing on Monday, the model/host grilled Levi Johnston, 19, on his relationship with Governor Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter Bristol. As Levi's family sat at his side, he admit that, well, they only practiced safe sex, "most of the time."

Furthermore, Levi says he was sharing a room with Bristol at the Palin residence prior to their breakup, and told Tyra he believes Sarah Palin knew they were having sex. "I'm pretty sure she probably knew," said Levi. "Mom's are pretty smart."

We watched a clip on the show's website, and Tyra makes a pretty clear point that had the kids had proper sexual education, (Bristol's mother preached abstinence only), then perhaps an unplanned child wouldn't have been brought into the world of two teens who are admittedly not fully equipped to be parents.

Johnston, who shows off his tattoo of Bristol's name on his ring finger on the show, broke off his engagement with the young mother last month. "It's just us not, me not being mature enough, or something, and having a kid and thinking ... it could be better -- better for us to separate for a while," he told ABC's Good Morning America. As for getting back together, Levi said, "We'll see, we'll see how it is. We'll just remain friends for now. We're both cool with that decision, and we'll see."
