Texting during a workoutLike all busy moms I can't always jump on the phone when I'd like, so texting is a great way to touch base with people. I communicate with my best friend on a daily basis by text. She has six children and she homeschools, but we live three and half hours away from each other. So we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like, though we do make it a point to see each at last two to three times a year.
She's my exercise buddy. We both have elliptical machines, and we text each other at 6:15 in the morning, and we both get on our ellipticals at the same time and then we do our little arm exercises. And we change up our workouts, and we encourage each other.
It's really neat because while we're exercising we listen to some of the same preachers, and we text back and forth about some of the messages we hear. It's a great way to stay connected. And having my best friend as my long-distance workout buddy is motivating!
