Need help with a baby name!

Ok, so I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant with my first its a girl! The name thing has been a pain thing! But I think my husband and I have narrowed it down. Angelena Rose, or Lilena Angelis (my maiden name was De Angelis). We were going to go with Vera Dawn (his grandmother and my mom) but then her initials would be VD and we can't do that to her, LOL.

i like the route you were going with the family names, give your baby a name that has some heritage in it so when she gets older and someone ask where her name comes from she won't be dumbfounded! but do be aware of those initials!!

whatever you name her, just remember that she is the one stuck with the name.

Love Angelena Rose. How about "Rose Angelis"? She might have to go through her whole life correcting people about the spelling of her first name if it's pronounced llike "Angelina", which is the most common spelling for this name. My name can be spelled with or without an "H" and I always have to make this clear to others. Even at this though, my name is sometimes still misspelled, and this can be a real problem if it's done on documents. Congratulations!!!

Very nice. Angelena Rose is classic and beautiful. Lilena Angelis is also sweet but doesn't roll off the tongure as easily. But the nickname " Lena" is soft and melodic. Congrats on the new precious member of your family.

So, I went to a dinner party last night and was told by a physic that our little girl is going to be very strong and she needs a strong name. She said Vera Angelis would be perfect. She said Lilena was to light to hold her. I like Vera I just don't think it rolls of my tongue like Lilena, I'm going to try it out for a little while and she how it feels.

Hiya ....Glad to see you are THINKING about what you are
attaching to your child by way of their name * the initials for example.
Some people obviously don't THINK of these things and their poor
children run around w/ names that should never have even
been considered!!!!.... In my opinion your two choices are very
nice... w/ an option of 'Angel' as a nickname ya cant go wrong!!!
      Peace... and congratulations!

HOW ABOUT DEVON, OR BIANCA, ASHLEY, KAREN, ANNE, NEVER MET A UGLY WOMAN WITH ONE OF THOSE NAMES!!!LOL.

Lilena Angelis, definately. It's a beautiful name, I LOVE it. If you went with Angelena some people might think she was named after a celebrity and that would be embarrassing to me if someone thought that about my baby, and Vera Dawn sounds waaaaaaaaay to countrified.

I like the second one, because anything that brings to mind Angelina Jolie should be avoided(she is such a skank) .Plus the fruit/flowers object names are over done by celeb's. But hey nowadays anything goes..........

I like the first one. One of my fondest memories growing up was going to the mall with my grandmother who used to buy me stickers, pencils, toothbrushes, etc with my name on them. I wanted my kids to have the same luck when it came to finding things with their names on it. When we chose names, we also thought about what it would sound like coming over a loudspeaker like at graduation...... Congratulations!!!!

I think you should pick a name that you can easily convert to a nickname. My mother did that, and through my life, 'Al' was my nickname (short for 'Alison'). Also, be aware of the initials (that's why it took a while to decide my nephew's name). By the way, congradulations on the new baby! I feel so happy for you!!
