This a direct link to a Petition I started trying to have a Georgia State Law amended. The law is The Mandatory Education Statute. Im not trying to say this is a bad law, it just needs to be a bit more realistic. Not every home is the same, and each and every child heals differently. I started this petition after I was jailed for keeping my son home after he was brutally attacked by a Bull Mastiff dog. I wasnt trying to break any laws, I was just trying to care for my son. When the Dr's released him to return to school, his teachers and principles chose to ignore Dr's orders which caused his wound to become infected, and if that wasnt bad enough he was bullied by the very same teachers and principles. As a mom I was only doing what I do best...protecting my child. I added pictures of the attack, please veiw them with caution, they are very gruesome.
