    "I distinctly recall having a passion for blue, flowered shirts, and I made sure that I wore them during my portrait days. This made me feel pretty and took a little of the focus off of my rather large glasses. These were the last couple of pictures that capture me with my eyewear on. I worked really hard in seventh grade to get straight As, because my mom promised that she would allow me to get contacts in exchange for good grades.
