4-Year-Old Twins Win for Most Adorable Cover of 'Frozen' Hit

I haven’t seen Disney’s latest animated hit "Frozen," but I must admit that I’ve been listening to Idina Menzel’s "Let It Go" on repeat. The track is at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and climbing and is currently iTunes's 25th-most-downloaded tune, and the movie's soundtrack just dethroned Beyoncé for the top spot on the Billboard’s Top 200 Chart. So, obviously, I’m not alone in my obsession.

With a catchy hit song come loads of covers, of course, but the prize for cutest version to surface so far clearly goes to 4-year-old twins Maddie and Zoe. Their father, Aaron Mendez, a freelance filmmaker who shot the video, set the pair up on his audio recording equipment. Since the pair can’t read yet, they’re listening to the track on the headphones and what they’re singing is, well, their interpretation of the lyrics. That means yawns, tummy aches, and crooning the chorus in a shrieking way that's deemed adorable only when a kid does it.

Although the twins have seen the movie just once, Mendez tells Yahoo Shine that they love everything Disney and have found clips online that they watch on a regular basis. The girls feel particularly connected to the sisters in the movie, Anna and Elsa (the latter is the princess who sings "Let It Go"), and the soundtrack has become a staple in the Los Angeles, California-based family’s daily routine. “We listen to it in the morning, as they dance around the living room acting out scenes, and pretty much anytime we are in the car driving somewhere,” he says.

While Mendez writes in the video's description, "I'm sure they'll hate me for this video someday," let's hope they don't. It's too endearingly delightful for them to hold a grudge.
