We've had about 48 hours to revel in the first official photograph of Prince George released by the palace to celebrate the young royal turning one. Dressed in a well-coordinated blue outfit, arms held up as if conducing an imaginary orchestra, a mid-stride George looked equal parts regal and adorable. Our only complaint, given that the photograph was taken at the Natural History Museum's butterflies exhibit, in London, was that there were no butterflies actually present in the image.

However, the next two photos have now been released and they do not disappoint. In this first one, above, Kate and William have crashed the party! Kate, wearing an appropriate floral green dress, William, and George are each observing some sort of attraction to their left (this one is seemingly ready-made for Photoshop treatments).

But, wait, could George be reaching for . . . might it possibly be . . . is it a butterfly?!? It would appear, moving on to this third one, that he was. And what this lil' dude wants, this lil' dude gets, as he has, as we can see, snared the creature.

"Upon my touch, you will be blessed with a life of great fortune and prosperity," he whispered as this shot was taken, and the butterfly returned to her home to find beds of lucious flowers and pools of nectar to bathe in.
