Video of the day: dad catches ball, drops kid. Not cool.

This dad is in soooooo much trouble. His intentions were good when he decided to take his young daughter to a Dodgers game. And he meant well when he stood her up on a guard-rail so she could try to catch a fly ball. But when it came down to the choice between catching the ball and holding the kid...well, just watch. Incidentally, two weeks ago a mom caught a foul ball at a game with one hand while holding her baby with the other. Nobody was dropped in the process either. Score one for team mom.

Oh, please..that kid is at least 10 years old, very capable of walking, standing and simply falling a foot or so into her dad's legs while he caught a ball. The headline is misleading..I thought he dropped a toddler or younger!

At least all is well, she's OK and she let him know that he better not do it again. But this could be would be a lot of scenarios, just depends on the angle.;)

Hey, at least he is engaged with and doing something with his kids. More than a lot of dads do. Plus, even though Mom/girlfriend (can't tell because she is not involved in ANY way) is there, she is totally discnnected and unengaged with the kids. She just keeps crocheting away. Seems Dad is more involved and connected than Mom. He and daughter will have a life time anecdote of "the time Dad dropped me for a fly ball, while Mom sat on her butt in her own little world."

I'm not a parent myself, and yet between several dueling misandrist/mysogynist comments I'm saddened and disappointed at such polarization, even over an insignifigant baseball game. I now understand why I exist in this "savage" time !

Seriously?? Big freakin deal! The kid is fine. I was expecting a baby dropping or something.

Ooooh man bashing. Really? Please. It was a funny and embarrassing moment and the author pointed it out to make fun of the guy. Big deal. It's not like she said he's a bad parent or that the girl should have been removed from his care. The most he did was create an embarrassing moment for his daughter he didn't kill or hurt her. If you really think this is "man bashing" then you have some real issues.

hahahahha... it wasn't that bad. What was he supposed to do? hold her up so the ball hit her?

What if she would've fallen forward? What a dumbass!

Another typical Piper man bashing article just in time for Father's Day. Quick call CPS on that terrible father..Piper Weiss says so. Trying to make something out of nothing as usual. Wonder where Piper's "Casey Anthony: Mother of the Year" blog is.

Ok so not only does he allow the poor little girl to fall, but he misses the freaking ball! What a loser! Oh and what's the deal with Mom sitting there crocheting and not paying an ounce of attention to anything? When you get a day out with your kids like that, be engaged with the kids even if it's something you don't particularly enjoy. Maybe if she had been paying attention, she could have helped prevent the fall to begin with.

she's fine- she's laughing and smiling after and she didn't fall that far. All's well that ends well- I'm sure he didn't mean to drop her.

they always do you dont actually know what he was thinking when he went for the ball like cole 2 said he may have seen the ball coming at her and lets face it that ball probably would have done more damage

Oh geez the wife is putting a guilt trip on him, get over it lady. The kid is fine, no harm done. Media and the wife make it bigger than what it is.
