This Is What It Looks Like When a Dog Gets a Face Lift (In Case Anyone Was Wondering)

Dying to know what a dog would look like with a little nip and tuck? Of course you are!

A two-year-old Chinese Shar Pei named Sesame with major crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead wrinkles went under the knife on Monday. But the surgery wasn’t due to vanity—the poor pup was suffering from hearing and vision due to excess skin covering his eyes and ears, which prevented him from seeing clearly and caused chronic ear infections.

A Shar Pei’s main characteristic is a wrinkly coat—scientists say the cause of the creases is a genetic mutation.

The surgery was provided by the San Antonio Humane Society. "After two surgeries to remove excess skin and pin back his ears, Sesame's eyes have finally opened and he is able to see the world for the first time as an adult," a rep stated in a press release.
