Most people feel uncomfortable around someone who is crying, especially if that person is a stranger, yet a lot of us want to help but aren't sure how. I've learned the absolute best way to help a crying stranger is to have a little pack of tissues on your person at all times. You can hand them off silently, you can offer them with an "Is there anything I can do for you?"
