We All Need Someone To Watch Over Me

I know this might sound strange, but I feel like ever since I grew up, there was a kind of love missing from my life. I did find and marry the woman of my dreams and I know she loves me, yet there was this unconscious feeling that no one had my back quite like my mom did when I was a little boy. Then, Violet and Henry came along, and all of the sudden I felt that sort of overpowering love again. When I look at them looking up at me and I see the glint in their tiny eyes when I am trying to make them laugh or help stop their tears, I am bombarded by this sort of priceless guarantee that someone is going to love me hard and true for the rest of my days. And all I have to do on my end is love them the same way right back. It's hard to explain, I guess, but it's there and I know it.
