"It just seemed the perfect place because several rooms spill into the kitchen, so the blue kind of travels throughout the house." To achieve it, a blackened umber glaze was applied to the cabinets, then painted over with turquoise glaze. Buffing, stippling, and scraping gave the cabinets a timeworn look. Countertops are limestone. The pottery is from Country House Antiques.
