It's no secret that being trim is practically part of a star's job, but some celebrity diets are a little, um, bizarre. Whether they slimmed down for a role for just 'cause, one thing's for damn sure-we won't be trying these wacked-out meal plans.
Natalie Portman lost 20 pounds preparing for her role as a ballerina who loses it in Black Swan. The already skinny actress reportedly stuck to just 1,200 calories a day and worked out like a fiend. We're talking five to eight hours a day of ballet, swimming, and interval training. Hey, at least she got an Oscar out of it.
