A school in Maryland went so far as to ban Valentine's Day cards to avoid what Principal Stephanie Brown called "inappropriate interactions between boys and girls." Because you know how totally romantic 9-year-old boys can be, with their fart jokes and all. The ban has since been lifted, and students are allowed to exchange cards as long as no food or candy is attached.
