6. Ease the transition to the great outdoors. A week or so before the last frost, place the tray of seedlings outside for a few hours in the afternoon, bringing them back indoors overnight. Repeat this process until all danger of frost has passed.
7. Cut loose the apron strings. To remove each seedling from its cell, gently nudge the bottom. Be careful not to bury the stem while planting.
