If not balanced by warmer colors, however, mauve can veer into corpse-bride territory. So go ahead, wear it all over, but Page recommends placing the shade just below the cheekbones with shimmery pink blush (or bronzer) on the apples, and topping mauve lipstick with a rose gloss. Oh, and don't forget to pile on the mascara to liven it up.
