In the evenings, my husband and I do a lot of preparation for the next day. We finish cleaning up the kitchen, work on our own assignments, or watch our favorite shows on TV. Often these tasks result in us being in separate rooms, focused on accomplishing them before heading to bed. But every so often we make it a point to shut down the computer, leave the dishes in the dishwasher, and disconnect from whatever had our attention so that we can connect with each other.
