Baking Made Easy: 6 DIY Mixes to Stock Your Pantry

There is nothing quite as awesome as craving something and finding the homemade mix for it in your pantry. In the mood for pancakes? Pull out a glass jar of healthy homemade mix and you can make it up in a jiffy! Need some brownies? Skip the boxed stuff that is full of preservatives and just use the mix you made at home when you had an extra five minutes on hand. I even love to give DIY mixes as gifts. I package them in glass jars and include a little tag about how to make the cookies, cakes or bars by adding the wet ingredients and baking. It is all so convenient and fun! Chocolate Chip Brownie Mix
This brownie mix is the perfect way to make sure you always have super chocolatey brownies at the ready! It also can be sifted into a pretty jar and given as a gift.
Make chocolate chip brownie mix
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cups cocoa powder

2 cups granulated sugar

1 teaspoon Kosher salt

1 cup chocolate chips (a mix of white and dark chocolate chips

Chocolate Chip Brownie Mix
This brownie mix is the perfect way to make sure you always have super chocolatey brownies at the ready! It also can be sifted into a pretty jar and given as a gift.
Make chocolate chip brownie mix

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cups cocoa powder

2 cups granulated sugar

1 teaspoon Kosher salt

1 cup chocolate chips (a mix of white and dark chocolate chips always looks great!)
Directions:

1. Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, except the chocolate chips. Pour the dry ingredients into a jar and layer with the chocolate chips.

2. Directions for the jar should read: Preheat oven to 350ºF and grease a 13×9 baking pan. Add 1 1/2 sticks butter and 2 eggs to the brownie mix. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until brownies are completely set. Allow to cool and serve.
