"Powder blush should always be applied with a good blush brush, not necessarily the one it comes with. There are many techniques for application, but I always like to place color on the apple of the cheek for the most natural looking flush. For evening, I like to use powder blush in shades of ginger or bronze because they can double as a shading or contouring product."
