On a four hour drive from New York to Boston I stumbled on a public radio show for foodies. The entire episode was on Meyer lemons, how they make the best lemonade, and how you can roast them with chicken, or winter vegetables, and actually eat them rind and all. By the time I got out of the car, I was a hypnotized zombie with Meyer lemons balls for eyes. I baked chicken breasts and stuffed thin slices under the skin (along with shallots and thyme), I roasted them with cauliflower and feta, and squeezed the last ounces of juice into hot tea. In other news, did you know you can actually buy a Meyer lemon tree for someone special? Cough, throat clear, eye flutter.
