In NYC, having a fireplace is about as rare as having a dishwasher, or a walk-in closet, or…well, you get the picture. And as much as we'd love to cozy up to a crackling hearth, sipping hot cocoa and reading The Hunger Games for the 10th time (particularly in the midst of this post-Sandy insanity), we have to settle on a less luxurious way to keep warm during the colder months.
