Early in my career, I learned you need to go after what you want in work and find a balance to remain vocal in what you need for your personal life as well. It is about balance and remaining in the game. Sometimes those choices don't work but you always need to go back and try again never sacrificing what is most important to you. There are always others in your shoes, and I find comfort in that daily.
I believe working inward toward systematic changes in corporate America and teaching women to push themselves, work harder, learn more skills, develop deeper relationships, and find mentors will ultimately help further their career. The key is doing what you need to do for yourself and your family-not what you are expected to do."
