Pink linen curtains might be unpredictable with a marble-and-granite checkerboard floor and grass-cloth walls, but designer Ruthie Sommers knew they would add pizzazz to her entry hall in her Los Angeles home. "Pink jazzes up a room," she says. "I thought of doing cream or beige-taupe, but there's something so snoozeful about that. Pink is whimsical and fun and such a happy color."
