You may have seen the movie "Marley & Me." Soon after we saw it, we received a new addition to our family. You will notice that our Marley, a golden Labrador almost 3 years old, looks like the dog used in the movie.

You may have seen the movie "Marley & Me." Soon after we saw it, we received a new addition to our family. You will notice that our Marley, a golden Labrador almost 3 years old, looks like the dog used in the movie.

He also has numerous personality quirks. Have you ever had a dog who selects a different dining atmosphere for every meal? Marley picks up his bowl and sits down wherever he decides for each meal. Do you remember the scene where Marley helped to open the car seat box for the new baby? Yes, our Marley will chew on anything and everything if given the opportunity.

Marley is big enough that when he is ready to go for a walk, he walks his human instead of the other way around. He will even carry the leash in his mouth. Marley likes to sit with us on the bench swing, even though he takes up most of it himself. I have had a dog who can grin like Winn Dixie and a dog who enjoyed old pacifiers, but I believe that Marley has the most unique personality I have ever seen. less
